Gastronomy

The gastronomy in the mountains is based on the "cerdo Iberico" (black pigs) which thrive amongst cork oak forests in the hills of Andalucia.  They are farmed extensively in the "dehesas" of the Natural Park "Sierra de Aracena y Picos de Aroche" in the north of Huelva.  The Iberico pork, its jamón (famous as pata negra), morcones, chorizos and lomo, are unique to the area. The autumn and spring mushrooms are a very traditional custom, and also the deer and young wild boar meat. Migas (a traditional dish made of bread crumbs) are very typical in the rain seasons.

Music

The house is in the region of Huelva where the popular music is fandango. The typical styles are Almonaster and Santa Eulalia
